The Town Register
Every Ember you play earns one Merit. Merits move you up the register, and each rank adds a loyalty boost to the Fairground Wheel and the Coin Fountain. Merits never expire and are never spent.
Resident
From 50,000 Merits
5% loyalty boost on the Fairground Wheel and the Fountain.
Neighbour
From 250,000 Merits
10% loyalty boost and a bigger refill.
Councillor
From 1,000,000 Merits
15% loyalty boost and a councillor badge on your profile.
Alderman
From 4,000,000 Merits
20% loyalty boost and early access to new games.
Mayor
From 12,000,000 Merits
30% loyalty boost and the chain of office on your profile.
Questions about the register
Do Merits ever go down?
No. Merits only go up, and your rank is never taken away, even if you take a long break.
Is anything here worth money?
No. Ranks, Merits and boosts exist only inside Emberlowe. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and they carry no cash value.
Does a higher rank change my chances in games?
Never. Game results are the same for every player; the loyalty boost applies only to the free Fairground Wheel and Coin Fountain.
