Accessibility at Emberlowe
Last reviewed: 14 October 2026
Our aim
We want everyone aged 18 and over to be able to enjoy Emberlowe. We design and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines and a "Skip to content" link.
- Games have labelled buttons, and wins and balance changes are announced to screen readers.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, reels and wheels stop instantly and decorative animation is switched off.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast on our dark theme, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
- Forms have clear labels, hints and error messages linked to each field.
- Scratchcards have a "Reveal all" button so no dragging is needed.
Known limits
Some fast visual games, such as the peg drop and the tumbling grids, are hard to follow with a screen reader even though every result is announced. Game artwork is decorative and has no detailed descriptions. We are working on a high-contrast game theme.
