Getting started
How Emberlowe works
A two-minute guide to the town: how to play, what Embers are, and where the free rewards come from.
1. Try anything in demo mode
Every game opens straight away for guests in demo mode, with 20,000 practice credits. Demo mode is a sandbox: it saves nothing and stores nothing on your device, so a reload starts again. A banner on every game reminds you that progress is not saved.
2. Join free when you want to keep your progress
Creating an account takes a minute: a display name, your email, a password, your date of birth and where in the United Kingdom you live. You must be 18 or over. We never ask for payment details, because there is nothing to pay for. You start with 25,000 welcome coins.
3. Play with Embers
Embers are our play coins. You choose a stake in each game, and wins are paid in Embers. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged — they simply keep the games going. If you run low, top up for free from the Rewards page.
4. Collect free rewards
Spin the Fairground Wheel, visit the Coin Fountain, finish errands, reach new levels and wind your own Town Clock. All of it is free and none of it has deadlines.
5. Climb the Town Register
Every Ember you play earns a Merit. Merits move you from Visitor to Mayor and add a loyalty boost to the wheel and fountain. Ranks never change your chances in a game.
6. Stay in control
Set a play reminder, take a break or self-exclude from Account → Safety tools. Emberlowe is entertainment, and it should stay that way. If you are worried about gambling, our Safer play page lists free UK support.
